Neuroregeneration Institute lands 6 new Michael J. Fox Foundation competitive research awards
Over the last 8 months, Drs. Ole Isacson and Penny Hallett, with the help of the other scientists in the Neuroregeneration Laboratories, have been awarded 6 new project grants from the MJFF in a variety of novel therapeutic initiatives in basic science toward the treatment of Parkinson's disease. In particular, their work on using novel molecular probes to protect or enhance neural function and novel drug discovery provides hope for significant progress in therapeutics for this disease.
