FUNDING The Center for Neuroregeneration Research is funded by the NIH/NINDS Udall Parkinson's Disease Research Center of Excellence, awarded in 1999 and renewed in 2005. In 2009, the Center received an ARRA Stimulus Award from NINDS to fund the PD iPS Cell Line Research Consortium, a multi-P.I. grant (O. Isacson, Coordinating P.I.). The Center is also supported by grants and donations from seven private foundations: The Michael Stern Foundation for Parkinson's Disease Research, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, the Consolidated Anti-Aging Foundation, the Orchard Foundation and the Harold and Ronna Cooper Family support research on Parkinson's disease; the Vaughan Fund supports research on Huntington's disease and the ALSA therapeutic initiative supports research towards new treatments for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). ALS research is also supported by a USAMRMC ALSRP grant awarded in 2008. How you can help The Center accepts donations to help fund research work that may lead to the cure for neurodegenerative diseases. We have a donation fund at McLean called the "Neuroregeneration Donation Fund #040489". This is a non-profit McLean-monitored fund that provides opportunities to start necessary new projects and maintain our excellent staff.
